A Dual Identity
We were not made to shrink. We were made to reign. Revelation 1:6 declares that Christ Himself has made us a kingdom and priests, and 1 Peter 2:9 confirms it: we are royalty. We are a royal priesthood, a holy nation, women chosen, set apart, and sent. As priests, we carried the very presence of God. We were the ones who stood in the gap, who moved heaven through prayer, who walked into a room and changed the atmosphere. As kings, we did not wait for permission to lead, we governed with wisdom and authority, we built, we protected, we advanced the kingdom of God in every arena of our lives. This was not a title we had to earn. It was purchased for us, declared over us, and it was time we walked in it. This retreat was our moment to rise, to shed every lie that had kept us small, to be filled, to be sharpened, and to step into the fullness of everything God had already called us to. We came as we were. We left as who we were always meant to be. Intimacy with the King of kings, our divine prerogative.
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light…
1 Peter 2:9
